Exif Pronounciation

Exif Description

Exif (Exchangeable image file format) is a standard to add metadata to files. It is mostly used in graphical files, JPEG (extension .JPG) and TIFF (extension .TIF) format.

A common use of Exif is to store detailed information about a photograph, such as the size, graphical file format and the brand or type of camera used to take the photograph.

Another popular use is saving the GPS coordinates (latitude and longitude) with the exact location of where the picture was taken, as details of the picture.
